Two Indian and Islamic women in India have allegedly killed their daughters because they eloped and married Hindu men.
The victims, known as Zahida, 19, and Husna, 26, asked for police protection when they returned home to Baghpat, 40km east of Delhi, but the local magistrate sent them home earlier this week to reconcile with their mothers.
“We killed them because they brought shame to our community,” one of the mothers was quoted by the Indian Express as saying.
“How could they elope with Hindus? They deserved to die. We have no remorse.”
Police allege the mothers, Kahtun and Sobrato, tied their daughters to their beds and threw rope around their necks.
They then pinned the girls down and tightened the noose until they died, police say.
The two women have been arrested while a third — a neighbor who allegedly helped the women commit the murders — is on the run.
How can anyone even want these types in this country? The social do gooders have run out of excuses, it really shows what we are getting in this country, sadly it happens all the time. Whats interesting is that they dont see a thing wrong with their action.
